HIV Prevention: A Global Theological Conversation

In this challenging book, 35 theologians and practitioners, from different traditions and continents, engage in a conversation with one another, with their hurches, with UN agencies, and with organizations of people living with HIV or AIDS. The aim is to establish some common ground that will translate into action, and to help people understand better the issues related to HIV prevention on which theologians cannot agree.

Prescription for Life: Take action to help children living with HIV

The vast majority of children living with HIV around the world lack access to HIV testing and treatment. We can do something about that. The Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance (EAA), in collaboration with partners around the world, are embarking on a year-long action with governments, pharmaceutical companies and media to improve access to medicines for children with HIV. Children and young people are invited to take action with their school, faith community or family to help make this happen.

People’s access to food is a fundamental human right. Yet this study finds that current approaches to trade prescribed by international organizations have caused violations of the right to food. The report focuses on rice, and assesses the food security of rice farming communities in Ghana, Indonesia and Honduras. Unique amongst research on trade policy, the study sets macroeconomic analysis side by side with human rights case studies of the reality at community level.
